Searching for Winter’s Dawn

Photo From Google

I looked up towards the sky tonight

As I was awakened from my sleep

Only to find an array of stars shining,

Twinkling much brighter than usual

It was as if God opened his hand and

Poured out a handful of confetti to

Cover me

There I was surrounded by all those who

Have gone on before me.

They covered me with love….God’s angels

Keeping me protected and safe

From the terrors of darkness

“Weeping may endure for a night,

But Joy cometh in the morning”

Winter’s dawn

  1. Jeannette, thank you for this Valentine! Today of all days, Valentine’s Day 2021, it’s hard and therefore necessary to be reminded of the morning’s joy. Blessed be, Pandit

  2. Truly enjoyed this, read it 3 times. The wonders of the sparkling stars, comforting to think that each star is one of our loved ones…. watching over us. One day, we will join them.
Thank you for the thought provoking poem.
