I was curious to know him, what made
Him tick…..and yes, he was cute,
Quirky and always had a joke on his lips
Definitely not the “run of the mill” kind of
Guy that you can find at any corner store
If I were looking, I’d find him in a specialty
Shop, the place where you find unusual
Things, one-of-a-kind treasures…..
Something that catches your eye, that
Unsettles your spirit
When he smiled, it filled my whole body
He liked weird music and chewed the
Side of his mouth (nervous habit I’m sure,
Afterall, we were kids)
He hid behind his camera and developed
Negatives in the darkroom
He saw me in that darkroom; he developed me.
And now I remain sitting pretty on the shelf
Of his heart…….
